Pseudoephedrine after Prostate Cancer

Pseudoephedrine is the active ingredient in a decongestant trademarked as Sudafed. After prostate cancer treatment, men may experience stress incontinence, which is urine leakage during activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure such as coughing, laughing, or sneezing. Pseudoephedrine increases the resistance of the bladder neck muscles and are usually the first line treatment for those who suffer from stress incontinence after prostate cancer treatment.
