Osteoporosis is
a disease where the volume of the bone falls below a
healthy. When the bone density drops, the patient is
at risk for fractures and breaks. Men who undergo hormone
ablation therapy may experience osteoporosis as a side
effect. Prostate cancer patients who are undergoing
hormone therapy should speak with their doctors about
how they can prevent osteoporosis.
