Nonpalpable Tumor in Prostate Cancer

A nonpalpable tumor cannot be detected by touch. The presence of a tumor in the prostate however may also be indicated by a rapidly rising PSA. If a doctor suspects a nonpalpable tumor, the doctor may order a prostate biopsy. Men with nonpalpable tumors may qualify for watchful waiting for their prostate cancer treatment.
