is a slender tube-shaped instrument which allows a surgeon
to view the internal organs contained within the abdomen.
Laparoscopic surgery does not require an incision other
than one used for its entry into the abdominal cavity.
The laparoscopic prostatectomy and robotic prostatectomy
use the laparoscope during prostate surgery and results
in less blood loss and a quicker recovery time.
