Gabapentin in Prostate Cancer Cryotherapy

Gabapentin is a drug that falls into the class of anticonvulsants. Gabapentin can be prescribed for the treatment of the side effects of prostate cancer chemotherapy. Prostate cancer chemotherapy can cause neuropathic pain which cannot be treated by even the strongest pain killers. No one is sure how gabapentin works, however, use of the drug has shown success in eliminating neuropathic pain.
