Estramustine
phosphate is a chemotherapy drug that is
known as an alkylating agent and it used in the treatment
of hormone-refractory prostate cancer and prostate cancer
with bone metastasis. Estramustine phosphate works by
binding the two strands of DNA that make up the double
helix. The DNA cannot replicate, therefore the cell
cannot divide.
