Patients with advanced prostate cancer, hormone refractory prostate cancer, and prostate cancer with distant metastasis will sometimes use chemotherapy for treatment. Common prostate cancer chemotherapy drugs are mitoxantrone, estramustine phosphate, etoposide, paclitaxel, docetaxel, doxorubicin, and vinblastine.
