Antineoplastics and Prostate Cancer


Antineoplastics are anti-cancer drugs that are also called anti-tumor antibiotics. Antineoplastics inhibit the growth of neoplastic cells, which are abnormally growing cells. Antineoplastics are often used as chemotherapy antineoplastics and can result in side effects such as vomiting and hair loss. Mitoxantrone is an example of a chemotherapy antineoplastic which is used in the treatment of prostate cancer.
