Anticholinergic Agents after Prostate Cancer


Anticholinergic agents are used to treat urge incontinence after prostate cancer treatment. Urge incontinence occurs when the urinary bladder spontaneously contracts resulting in involuntary urination. Anticholinergic agents prevent muscular contractions of the bladder. These contractions signal the urge to urinate and when these occur too frequently, urge incontinence results
