Advanced prostate cancer
is classified into clinical
stage T3 and clinical stage T4. The prostate cancer
has extended beyond the prostate capsule and into the
seminal vesicles or beyond. The cancer may have metastasized
into the regional or distant lymph nodes or into the
bones in a condition called prostate cancer bone
metastasis. At this point, prostate cancer treatment
should be both adjuvant and aggressive. Once the cancer
spreads, it is very unlikely that one treatment will
destroy the disease.
