A vitamin is an
organic substance that is either water-soluble or fat-soluble.
Vitamins are necessary in trace amounts in the human
body for normal biological functions. Though who are
deficient in vitamins may be at a greater risk for developing
diseases such as cancer. Notably, in the case of prostate
cancer, those who have had deficiencies in vitamin or
are smokers and have taken vitamin E supplements have
shown reduced risk for developing the disease.
