High Visceral Fat May Increase Risk Prostate Cancer

Visceral fats are the deposits of fat around vital organs. These fat reserves protect and insulate organs, but can accumulate to unhealthy level in individuals who suffer from obesity. High accumulations of visceral fat are considered more harmful than subcutaneous fat. Obesity and high levels of fat have been linked to higher occurrences of prostate cancer.
