Ulcerative Colitis and Prostate Cancer

Ulcerative colitis is the inflammation of the large intestine (colon) and which has no known cause. The condition is characterized by profuse diarrhea, bleeding, fever, chills, and abdominal pain. Ulcerative colitis often occurs with Crohn’s disease and the two together are called irritable bowel syndrome. Prostate cancer patients with ulcerative colitis are usually not eligible for cryotherapy.
