Fully Inflatable Penile Implant after Prostate Cancer

The fully inflatable penile implant is used for impotence that occurs after prostate cancer treatment. This type of penile implant transfers fluid from an internal reservoir to channels that have been implanted into the corpora cavernosa of the penis. When compared to other types of implants, the diameter of the penis increases the most through use of the fully inflatable implant. After sex, a valve is pressed to release the fluid, usually saline or saltwater, back to the reservoir. The fully inflatable implant is the most expensive implant available and requires the most extensive surgery.
