Fat-soluble Vitamins and Prostate Cancer

Fat-soluble vitamins are absorbed by the soft and fatty tissues of the vitamin. The body, in the face of excess consumption, cannot flush the vitamin out of the body. Humans who take excessive fat-soluble vitamin supplements such as vitamin E, vitamin A, or vitamin D. The resulting excess could result in toxicity. Recent studies have shown lowered risks of prostate cancer by taking vitamin E supplements have resulted in many men starting a regimen to lower their risks. However, the study only seems to support the lowered prostate cancer for those men who were originally deficient in the vitamin or were a smoker.
