Ejaculate
is another word to describe semen after it is ejaculated
from the body after sexual stimulation. Semen is the
composite of the male’s reproductive fluid. Semen
is composed of sperm that are produced in the testicles
and transported through the vas deferens to the seminal
vesicles. The seminal vesicles add the bulk of ejaculatory
fluid to provide the sperm an ample medium to move around
after ejaculation from the body. The prostate gland
adds an anticoagulant to keep the semen from congealing
as well as proteins and hormones that will nourish the
sperm cells. Men who have undergone prostate cancer
treatments, especially the prostatectomy, may no longer
produce semen but experience dry orgasm after appropriate
sexual stimulation.
