Crohn’s Disease and Prostate Cancer

Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammation of any portion of the digestive tract but is found most commonly in the ileum. Symptoms of Crohn’s disease include chronic diarrhea, difficulty digesting food, fistula of the colon, and anemia. When Crohn’s disease occurs with ulcerative colitis, the two are collectively called irritable bowel syndrome. Prostate cancer patients with Crohn’s disease are usually not eligible for prostate cryotherapy.
