Combined hormone blockade
is also called combined
androgen blockade and is a type of prostate cancer
hormone therapy which combines an anti-androgen with
either chemical castration or surgical castration. 90
to 95 percent testosterone is produced by the testicles
while 5 to 10 percent is produced by the adrenal glands.
Combined hormone blockade ablates 100 percent of the
testosterone present in the blood stream.
