Anti-tumor antibiotics and Prostate Cancer

Anti-tumor antibiotics are anti-cancer drugs that are also called antineoplastics. Anti-tumor antibiotics inhibit the growth of neoplastic cells, which are abnormally growing cells. Anti-tumor antibiotics are often used as chemotherapy and can result in side effects such as vomiting and hair loss. Mitoxantrone is an example of a chemotherapy anti-tumor antibiotic which is used to treat prostate cancer.
