Aneuploid refers
to a varying number of chromosomes in a cell. In humans,
the normal diploid number is 46. Prostate cancer that
is more aggressive results in cells with chromosome
numbers other than 46. Aneuploidy is found in poorly-differentiated
prostate cancer cells and indicates that a particular
case of prostate cancer is more aggressive.
