Aggressive prostate cancer
is determined by the Gleason
score and indicates the potential for the metastasis
of prostate cancer to the lymph nodes or bones (prostatic
sarcoma). Aggressive cases of prostate cancer usually
require aggressive treatment while less aggressive cases
may be candidates for watchful waiting or other less
aggressive prostate cancer treatments. Advanced prostate
cancer usually is aggressive with a high Gleason score
and resistant to monotherapy.
