Transperitoneal
refers to a technique used either in the laparoscopic
prostatectomy or the robotic prostatectomy used as a
prostate cancer treatment. The transperitoneal prostatectomy
goes through the peritoneum which is a membrane encasing
most of the internal organs within the abdomen.
