Clinical Stage T1 of Prostate Cancer

Stage T1 is a component of the clinical staging for prostate cancer established by the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC). The T1 stage is divided into 3 smaller stages which are denoted y the use of the letters a, b, and c. Stage T1 indicates that the prostate cancer is small and confined to the prostate gland. The cancerous cells are too small to show up on a diagnostic imaging test and the tumor is nonpalpable.
