Radioactive decay
occurs the material emitting the energy begins to decay
at the speed denoted by its radioactive half-life. After
radioactive decay is completed, the material is inert.
The brachytherapy seeds, which are planted during the
prostate cancer treatment LDR brachytherapy, decay and
leave only inert titanium casings.
