A radiation oncologist
is a doctor who specializes in the treatment of cancer
using radiation therapy. In prostate cancer treatment,
radiation oncologists will administer external radiation
therapy or be part of the medical team that uses minimally
invasive brachytherapy to plant the radioactive seeds
interstitially.
