Prostatitis is
one of three different infections of the prostate gland:
acute bacterial prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis,
and nonbacterial prostatitis. Bacterial prostatitis
can be treated with antibiotics while nonbacterial prostatitis
can be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs. Prostatitis
has been included in this website because the symptoms
of prostatitis can mimic prostate cancer.
