Prostate Cancer Extension to the Prostate Capsule

The prostate capsule is the membrane the surrounds the prostate gland. As prostate cancer advances, the disease may extend into the capsule (extraprostatic extension) or beyond (extracapsular extension) and into the seminal vesicles.
