in the bone marrow and are responsible for blood clotting.
Platelets are what form scabs that cover injuries that
break the skin. Prostate cancer patients who undergo
chemotherapy may experience decreased blood clotting.
Chemotherapy affects the body systemically, meaning
that all cells that divide quickly, not just cancer
cells are effected by the drug.
