Penile Injection after Prostate Cancer

The penile injection relaxes the smooth muscles in the arterial walls of the penis and allows blood to flow in. For men who experience impotence after prostate cancer treatment, penile injections may be an option. A man mixes the solution in a large needle than fills a small syringe which he uses to inject directly into his penis. Unlike the oral PDE 5 inhibitors, penile injection causes erection whether there is sexual arousal or not.
