The aim of palliative care
is not cure prostate cancer, but to minimize the amount
of pain a patient experiences. Palliative care does
not extend life, but maintains the patient's quality
of life. During the latest stages of advance prostate
cancer, palliative care will minimize the pain and emotional
distress while maintaining the patient's dignity.
