PC-SPES is a plant
extract currently being used as an alternative therapy
in the treatment of prostate cancer. Eight different
herbs are combined to form PC-SPES. The natural hormone-like
chemicals found in this supplement have been shown to
cause a regression in prostate cancer. PC-SPES has also
been proven beneficial to patients whose cancer is resistant
to conventional hormonal therapies. Potential significant
side effects include blood clots and stroke.
